I remember my first days; everything looked like gibberish. Long wallet addresses like 0x0089hui332100poxuklfp001, and then around 20,000 different tokens available worldwide. Exchanges, wallets, mining… the list goes on and on. It felt like I had to learn a whole new profession. Just like most things in life, it took me time to learn and understand what this is all about.
While there are many articles and documents explaining all the different facets, they often looked like gibberish too—just in a different way. I learn—and I’m going to assume most of us learn this way—through trial and error. It’s how my brain builds the synapses to understand what I’m actually doing.
Never mind the fear of working with real cash in a vast open sea filled with sharks and a few beautiful gems. My nerves took a shot or two. I can’t count how many times I double and triple-checked those addresses before sending or receiving. It took a long time to feel safe and comfortable in what I was doing.
So, here we are: another “converted character” in the world of crypto. I wouldn’t change the journey at all, and I’m grateful I stuck with it. It has opened many doors and will open even more. It puts so much accessibility and function right at a person’s fingertips.
On this page, I hope to provide a helping hand to new and old users alike. I will try to explain this world in a slightly different way, and hopefully, it will make a little more sense and distill some of those fears we all have when trying something new.
Good luck to you all.
